D.A.R.E. Empowers Communities and Small Businesses

Through Skills Development

Our dream at DARE is to see an end to the cycle of poverty!

It’s no secret the unemployment rates in South Africa have ballooned out of control. Unfortunately, this has a huge effect on rural communities and especially women.

D.A.R.E. stands for Developing Ambitious and Resilient Entrepreneurs. We create jobs for disadvantaged women in rural communities and empowers small businesses through our D.A.R.E. skills training and development program.

We mentor and train budding  entrepreneurs to sew washable sanitary pads and do basic bookkeeping, stock take, and quality control. Women and Men earn a living, learn transferable skills, and may even employ other people. The goal is to help young people become self-reliant by generating an income from selling different menstrual health products.
